Greetings:

The calendar tells us that the seasons change in mid- September, but with summer vacations behind us and kids back at school,  this time of year can be just right for recharging your batteries and making sure that all of your protection and financial affairs are in order.

There are a multitude of factors that can influence the decisions you make about your insurance coverage. You may be just starting out in life, purchasing a new home, getting married, or perhaps growing your family, your home or your personal needs. On the other hand, you may have lots of space with kids away at school, have an empty nest, or you're retired.

PROTECTING WHAT'S IMPORTANT TO YOU IS WHAT MATTERS MOST!

Now is just the right time to review some of the life-changing factors that can influence your insurance decisions, and learn about the coverages to consider. Now is the perfect time to ask these key questions so you can find what's right for you.

I also encourage you to take a look at our all of the current, informative news and articles this month that affect your protection and savings, along with our complimentary, best-selling books and resource gifts for our clients interested in growing their business or any organization desiring to improve performance.

Very best regards,
Chris

THINK YOU DON'T NEED FLOOD INSURANCE

FOR YOUR HOME OR BUSINESS?

Think Again!

Last month, a bill was signed in extending the National Flood Insurance Program (NFIP) for five years. This means that millions of Americans will be able to protect themselves against a risk that can cost the nation billions a year in property damage.

It makes sense to consider buying this coverage. For one thing, the chances are that your homeowners or commercial insurance policies do not cover losses from floods. For another, about one in four NFIP claims come from areas with a low or moderate risk of flooding, according to the Federal Emergency Management Agency. Before you make a decision, please read on  to see if you're eligible for the program. (Please scroll down)

Don't wait until it starts raining to buy flood insurance! There is a 30 day waiting period between your application and the effective date of your coverage. Call us today at 603-742-2552 to make sure you're properly protected! You'll be glad you did!

HEAR WHAT OTHERS HAVE SAID

ABOUT US THIS MONTH!

At Cross Insurance, we don't merely promise that we'll be there for all of your personal and commercial protection needs. Our pledge is to be consistent in  every area of service, including that of building  relationships with you that are based on trust, as Chris O'Connell  has shared with us below:

Re: Blaine Horne, Employee Benefits

"We recently switched health insurance brokers at GlobalSign, Inc. from a broker we have had for several years. We have doubled our employees  in the last two years and added two additional offices in Massachusetts and Washington state. With multiple policies and impending health care mandates, we needed a broker that would partner with us to help navigate the changes and recommend ways to control our increasing benefit costs. Blaine Horne worked in our best interest and proved to be a true asset to our business.  He also is very patient and never winces at my "uninformed" questions or requests."

~Chris O'Connell, HR Manager, GlobalSign, Inc.

And, because yours is the only opinion that matters, we also would like to pass along and share your words with others...so they know what to expect from us too! Our goal is that you are 110% satisfied with your experience with our agency. If our client care, pricing or claim service has been satisfactory to you, we would like to share this mutual benefit with any potential or existing clients. Please take a minute to jot down some thoughts on our Testimonial Request Form on how our agency has helped you, saved you money or made your life a little better at any time.  This will also improve our service to  you, our valued client, in the future.

And, as a way of saying thanks for "helping us help you, we will enter you two times in our $100 Quarterly Restaurant Drawing when we receive your testimonial. Thank you!

TEEN DRIVERS -THE HIGH RISK YEARS

There's nothing quite like being a teen in the summer - no school the next day, late nights, and cruising the neighborhood streets and highways with friends. Teen drivers have the highest fatal crash risk of any age group. Per mile traveled, they have the highest involvement rates in all types of crashes, from those involving only property damage to those that are fatal. The problem is worst among 16 year-olds, who have the most limited driving experience that often results in risk-taking behind the wheel. Learn what parents can do to educate their teenage drivers.

Amanda Payeur, our Personal Account Manager, would like you to be aware that you will also want to consider Protecting Your Assets with an Umbrella Policy. What if your teen gets into an accident and the other driver sues for more than your auto policy limits? You may want to consider discussing the benefits of having a Personal Umbrella Policy (PUP) with Amanda or any of our Personal Account Managers today!

At Cross Insurance, we believe that effective parent-teen communication is critical to helping teens recognize and choose safe driving behaviors, and have created this Teenager-Parent Driving Contract for you to review and to commit to safe and responsible driving.

Please Forward This Contract to a Concerned Parent
Of a Teenager With Our Compliments!

OUR FEATURED COMMUNITY PARTNER
The Brandon Tyler Pratt Scholarship Fund

At Cross Insurance, our goal is to help support as many  non-profit organizations as we can, as we are proud to give back to the  community that supports us. Our team of coworkers has decided to participate in Jeans Daywhere we  choose  a local community  partner to assist each month. Employees interested in  participating donate a dollar on Fridays if they  choose to  wear  jeans, and then a new community recipient is then chosen for the following month.

Our  most recent featured community  partner for the months of August and September is the Brandon Tyler Pratt Scholarship Fund in Newmarket. The fund, set up through the TD Bank in Newmarket, was created in "B's"  honor, so that even in his passing, he could still continue  to help  his friends achieve their dreams and life goals with him in their hearts   and by their side. "B" was an amazing artist and imaginative author,  and he had always been about hard work, achieving goals and giving back  to others.

To let us know about  your own recommendation for a very deserving community program, simply email Diane Gorman or give us a call at (603) 742-2552.
